Crunchy spicy goodness, a full tummy and a voice in my head that was (once again) ignored! Over-eating...many of us have been there (or might be there right now!). That feeling deep down of knowing that this habit isn't good...mentally, physically or spiritually. Yet...we consume. And consume. Hmm... What's the problem with this picture? Is there something we are "hungering" for unrelated to food? Are we filling some void or is it just out of boredom?
What if we could fill the time we are over-eating with something enriching and beautiful?
I leave for Thailand in 3 weeks. It is not only an external journey, travelling, exploring and consuming a beautiful foreign country, but also a journey of self-discovery and hopefully, self-discipline and self-awareness!
I am enrolled in a month long yoga teacher training program on the island of Kopanyang to start my travels. If this program doesn't keep me on a healthy regimen, I don't know what will! I will be getting up at 6am, doing yoga daily, and eating the healthy organic food the center has to offer.
My hope is to come home with a new perspective on my life purpose, and possibly a new appetite for healthy eating!
